We are honored to be a part of your birth story.
Your support begins with a personalized, in-home prenatal appointment with your doula. There your doula will answer your questions and ease your concerns and provide assistance in creating your birth plan, personalized to your desires and customized for your specific birthing location. Your doula will also demonstrate laboring positions and comfort measure techniques for you and your partner to implement during labor. You also have the option to attend one of our group workshops of your choosing included in your birth package.
Your doula is then on call for your birth 24/7 and will provide continuous labor support from the moment of your choosing, until your family is settled after the birth. Your doula can also provide assistance with your initial feeding(s) and/or pumping if you so desire.
Support does not end there; we also provide an in-home follow up visit in the first weeks after birth to ensure you are on your way to recovery and answer any questions you and your family may have.
We pledge to work together with your doctors, midwives, nurses, and partner to support, comfort, empower and encourage you every step of the way.
In order to provide the best support throughout your pregnancy and during labor, your doulas remain current on local hospital's policies and procedures, keep up with the latest ACOG recommendations, and share new insights regarding labor/birthing positions as well as comfort measure techniques.
Our Labor Doulas have experience serving families delivering in their home as well as at Carroll Hospital Center, Frederick Memorial Hospital, GBMC, Hanover Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Howard County General, York Memorial, St. Joseph's Medical Center, Special Beginnings Birth Center and the Frederick Birth Center.
