Deborah Bailey, Owner

Labor Doula, Postpartum and Infant Care Doula, Placenta Specialist

Deb 7:17.jpg

Her outgoing personality and take charge spirit serve her well as a mother and business owner, but it's Debbie's attention to detail, ability to attune to an individual's needs and pick up on those unspoken or subtle cues, that make her a great doula. Born and raised in Carroll County, Debbie has always had a passion for children and education. After serving several years as a teacher and nanny while attending graduate school, she started her own family. She found herself enthralled with her own pregnancy, childbirth and parenting experiences. As friends, family and even perfect strangers began reaching out to her to seek advice, guidance and opinion, she began researching how to turn her passion and knowledge into a career.  Debbie began training as a doula in late 2015 and has quickly immersed herself in her doula career.

Outside of doula work, Debbie has a passion for cooking for others, craft beer, gardening and coffee. She lives in Westminster with her partner Kyle, their two daughters and a very fat cat. She and her family can frequently be found at their favorite small farms, exploring a new park or trail or soaking up some sun at the beach.

Camille Nyman

Labor Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator (GentleBirth)

Family6.jpg

Camille was initially drawn to birth work after her own experiences in pregnancy, labor and motherhood. It is Camille's desire that every family she supports will experience empowered, peaceful, wonder-filled births and walk away with a new-found confidence in themselves and what they are capable of.

Before motherhood, Camille was a ballroom dance instructor and even trained with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall for a summer! She enjoys clean eating, coffee, travel, the arts, Harry Potter and babywearing.

Originally from a small town in central New York, Camille now resides in Owings Mills with her husband, Clarke, their three beautiful children, and one very spoiled Morkie.  She is passionate about all things birth and cannot wait to support the DCMD community!

Camille is accepting labor clients for March 2018 and beyond!

Jessica Vogtman

Labor Doula

Jessica is a calming, patient and nurturing presence both in her personal and professional lives. She is constantly reading and learning, so she is a vast wealth of knowledge on all things pregnancy, birth and baby. Chances are if Jess doesn't know the answer, she knows exactly the resource in which to find it.

As a California transplant, Jess came to Maryland during her husband's military career. After college, she ended up calling the area home. Prior to her career as a doula, she was a zookeeper at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore for several years. She even shared her first pregnancy with two of the female chimps who were also pregnant at the same time. She trained them to receive ultrasounds and cared for them as they welcomed their babies into the world!

She and her husband Alex live in Westminster with their two daughters and yellow lab Daisy. When she isn't reading about birth and pregnancy, Jess enjoys reading, particularly Jane Austen, Julia Alvarez and Diana Gabaldon novels, hiking and spending time outside with her kids and drinking a little too much coffee.

Kimberleigh Schneider

Birth and Lifestyle Photographer, Antenatal and Labor Doula

After years of reserving her passion and gift for photography for the closest friends and family, Kim decided to pursue her dream and venture into business full time.

Kim has an innate understanding and appreciation for those once in a lifetime photo opportunities presented during pregnancy, child birth and those first weeks of a child's life. It was through her work as a birth photographer and working alongside the DCMD doulas that she discovered her passion for birth work. She specializes in antenatal care as well as supporting births.

Kim, her husband Adam, their son and daughter, live in a cozy house in historic Catonsville.
